I meet people all the time who say wise things- indeed I think everyone probably says wise things some of the time. But so often the human race doesn’t seem to act wisely. There is so much effort putting in to winning arguments, getting one over other people, being ‘on top’ that I am beginning to think the real problem is ego. God bless those (whatever your god is) who take the time to lift others up without expectation of reward, and for the benefit of all. My new year’s wish is to let go of all that and spend my time making the world a better place for all, but especially for those who need it most. I really appreciate it when folks appreciate me. Just need to make sure that’s what I.m doing too.
