Hello, I am the coordinator of a lottery funded project to encourage young people to consider farming and rural skills as a career option. I was wondering if we would be able to visit your garden with one of our groups of young people to find out what is involved in producing a garden suitable for wildlife. I can be contact by email or telephone on 07717847687. Many thanks
Hey there
We are here on holidays from Australia visiting family and have heard about your amazing permacultre projects. We are staying in Cornhill for a couple of days and wondered whether it would be possible to come and visit the gardens. In Australia I have come from a similar background and I grew up self sufficient living off the land. It would be a treat to visit a similar place in another country. I hope to hear from you if you shortly.
Best, joolz
We visited the garden to seek advice and choose fruit trees and bushes to set up a small community orchard in East Lothian, and were amazed at the huge variety of plant life thriving there. Our orchard was planted in one day thanks to a fantastic turn out from the local community and school, and a visit from Graham, and we are looking forward to watching the trees come to life. We chose a wide variety of apple trees including Scottish heritage and other cultivars suitable for growing as cordons to give us a mix of dessert, cooking and cider apples as well as plums and other soft fruits.
