Every Wednesday I have the privilege of working on a befriending project. Giving time to older people in the community. I have one friend who has (because of strokes etc etc) lost a lot of his ability to speak, but still has an active brain. So we explore the Borders countryside and I tell him what I see and how it came to be. And by and large he is delighted. ORCHIDS
