A run down to Bonchester Bridge today in blazing autumn sunshine.
The hedgerows ablaze with red wine coloured haws, rosehips and rowan berries, and in between the brilliant greens of scrogs (wild apples).
The leaves turning fast and autumn colours coming on.
A breeze ruffling the trees.
In under the hills eating lettuce and tomatoes from the garden five hundred foot up. And amazingly they’re still baling hay here on the 30th September. What a summer and what an Autumn!
