Taking cuttings for Cherry Plum

Generally speaking to take cuttings:
select lengths of pencil thickness growth wood with seven or so buds and cut bottom and top at an angle.
Bury the cuttings two thirds underground in good fertile soil.
You can use root hormone powder but I’ve never found it made much difference so I don’t.

Come midsummer you’ll see the ones that have taken putting out leaves.  Leave them to the back end before lifting, so they can grow decent root structure.
